Welcome to the Scoop section of WiseNomad.com, a collaborative community of backpackers and world travelers. Travelers just like you can submit stories and opinion pieces, and the community votes on what content gets posted. Anyone interested in backpacking travel can join. Think of it as open source content for backpackers, with a democratic twist.

WiseNomad.com is a community of people with a passion for travel and adventure. This site is designed as a well of information where backpackers can learn from one another, and help one another. Anyone can contribute the inside scoop on the places they?ve been, and anyone can research the places they?re going. And backpackers tend to give as well as take from the well because they possess a unique perspective on humanity. They?ve ventured beyond their known borders, beyond their familiar surroundings, beyond life's conventional path, and they?ve been welcomed by strangers with unexpected generosity, and they?ve experienced life beyond their imagination. They?ve been given a gift, and so they pass it on.
This site has an open submission queue. You need not even register to submit stories and opinion pieces. Submit stories about pretty much anything related to backpacking travel: travel tips, off-the-beaten-path destination info, hostel recommendations, nightlife recommendations, suggested itineraries, recommended adventure activities, commentary on food or drink, or the overall backpacker scene somewhere, trip planning tips, a recap of an adventure, romantic interludes, political commentaries, you name it. And, you can always join the community if you like. It?s just two fields and a submission button? takes about 15 seconds.
Garbage is not tolerated. Community members can and will vote you post into oblivion if they?re rubbish, or alternatively vote them to heralded front-page status if they?re noteworthy and/or thought provoking.
Enough said. Get to it, and tell your travel buddies to come visit |
